Lil Dragons is Aspire’s taekwondo program for kids ages 5–9 in Norton Shores. Two groups — ages 5–7 and 7–9 — so drills match attention span and coordination.
Five is the start age for Lil Dragons. The 5–7 class stays shorter and more game-based. The 7–9 class adds more kicking combinations and focus work.
If your child is 10 or older, use General Membership instead.
Basic taekwondo: stance, kicks, blocks, listening on a count, and how to bow in. They also practice balance, coordination, and waiting their turn.
Two age bands keep a five-year-old out of the same drill line as a nine-year-old.
Aspire is Kukkiwon / USA Taekwondo / AAU kicking and forms. Nearby karate schools teach a different art. A “karate for kids” search can still trial Lil Dragons — it is kids martial arts with a taekwondo curriculum.
Muskegon Taekwondo LLC is the other local taekwondo brand. Aspire’s kids path is Lil Dragons first, then regular kids/teen classes on the same membership.
Start with a trial and tell the instructor. If the room is still too much, Aspire also runs a sensory-friendly class with a special-education teacher on the floor.
Call or use the trial form. The school is at 928 E Broadway Ave, Norton Shores. After the trial, rates are on Membership Options.
