September 1st, 2026 at 10:00 am

Master Len Lawrence is the Co-Founder of Aspire Performance Center. With decades of martial arts experience, Master’s Degrees in Education and Business, and nearly two decades of teaching at the collegiate level, Master Len combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of how students learn, lead, and grow.

When Master Len and Master Roger Willard founded Aspire in 2014, their vision was to create a program that developed not only successful competitors, but confident and well-rounded martial artists. Through years of dedication, Aspire athletes have earned 50 National Championship titles across poomsae, sparring, and board breaking.

An 11-time National Champion, Master Len has experienced the challenges and rewards of competition firsthand. His accomplishments across multiple areas of competition reflect the well-rounded approach he brings to coaching. That experience has shaped his teaching philosophy, where he focuses on helping each athlete understand their strengths, develop their skills, and find the approach that allows them to succeed.

Master Len believes every student learns differently. His philosophy is simple: great instructors do not force every student into the same mold—they recognize individual strengths and help each person develop into the best martial artist they can become.

Known for his intelligent, defensive sparring style, Master Len teaches athletes the importance of timing, distance, strategy, and patience. His approach provides a valuable complement to Master Roger’s offensive style, giving students the opportunity to learn different strategies and develop the style that best fits them.

A Kukkiwon Certified Black Belt who has completed the Kukkiwon Master Instructor Certification Course, Master Len combines the knowledge of a lifelong martial artist with the skills of an experienced educator.

For Master Len, martial arts is about more than competition. It is about helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and discover abilities they never knew they had.
